Our Company is leader in installations for electrical power generation, distribution and control and our offer of services include project management in all of its stages, engineering, supply, construction and commissioning, turnkey projects and operational support.

Due to the effort and commitment of a highly qualified professional team, we have differentiated ourselves in the market by delivering quality services and integrated solutions in all fields related to the energy business.

Today we can rely on extensive national and international experience, with projects in more than 30 countries and with the firm goal of continued growth.

Our History

Iberdrola Ingeniería was founded as a Corporation towards the end of 1994, and came about as the result of integrating the engineering skills and resources of IBERDROLA and the companies UITESA (Technological Specialties) and IBERSAIC (Environment) and with the participation of Gibss y Hill Española (GHESA) and Empresarios Agrupados, leading to a highly qualified and broadly experienced team that encompasses all engineering fields and construction companies to handle the full life cycle of a project, from its basic conceptual design on through its material execution, including turnkey supply.

The Company was conceived for the purpose of making the technical capacity developed for IBERDROLA's projects and installations available to the market, in addition to lending service to the electric company itself. Ever since its concept Iberdrola Ingeniería has brought together into one place all of the Group's engineering and construction activities.

The human resources for Iberdrola Ingeniería when it founded relied on approximately 200 people, with a business turnover during the first year of some 1000 million pesetas showing positives results from its inception.

Currently, Iberdrola Ingeniería is the leading company in the installation of electric power generation, transport, distribution and control. With a turnover of 648.8 million EUR, Iberdrola Ingeniería is presently the largest Spanish engineering Company due to the team effort of more than 1000 people.

As of 21 July, 2005, our name, "Iberdrola Ingeniería y Consultoría", was left behind to create, "Iberdrola Ingeniería y Construcción S.A.U.", which reflects our Company's change in business focus entirely aimed at engineering and construction.
