Tuesday 6 November h 9.00 Protomoteca Hall – Campidoglio/Piazza del Popolo

On the way to zero emissions you have to stop at Rome.
On 6-7 November 2007 Piazza del Popolo and the Campidoglio Protomoteca Hall will be the venues of H2ROMA, the conference about the new challenges on the environment, car industry and energy production. Biofuels and hybrid engines, hydrogen and natural gas, the link between technology and research, renewables and market.

These are the issues at the centre of the sixth edition of the international scientific workshop organized by the researchers from 'La Sapienza' University,
ENEA and CNR. Together with the experts of these academic institutions there will be the greatest world car leaders who will exhibit their prototypes and illustrate the latest innovations as far as clean engines are concerned.

Tuesday 6th November: in the Protomoteca Hall at Campidoglio, Bmw, Fiat, General Motors, Honda, Mercedes, PSA Peugeot Citroen, Toyota and Volvo will take part in the traditional meeting with the public and the press and this year the theme will be "Energy and mobility: man and the environment at the centre of technological development".

"H2ROMA represents the opportunity for both the major independent research institutions and the most innovative car makers to show new technologies and exhibit cars which are less 'thirsting' for traditional fuels and less polluting" – says Professor Fabio Orecchini, scientific coordinator of the event and teacher of energy systems at 'La Sapienza' University in Rome.

On the 6th and 7th November, in the marvellous setting of Piazza del Popolo, the visitors, after the registration on www.h2roma.org, will be able to test drive the prototypes and cars equipped with the most advanced and environmentally friendly technologies as far as zero or nearly zero emissions are concerned: hybrid, hydrogen/methane, bio-ethanol.

Wednesday 7th November: there will be the "The Mobidays" international conference where world experts will take stock of sustainable mobility strategies and state-of-the-art projects, funded by the EU as well as of the ones being carried through worldwide, mainly in the U.S.A., Japan and China.
