Prof. Alberto Cazzella is full Professor of Palaeoethnology at La Sapienza University of Rome.
He was among the organisers of several conferences and relative publications from 1986 till present. He was scientific responsible of various research projects on Late Prehistory in Italy and central Mediterranean.
He directed the excavations in many prehistoric sites including Vivara - Punta di Mezzogiorno (Napoli) and the prehistoric phases of Capitolium (Rome). He is the director of the excavations at the fortified Bronze Age settlement of Coppa Nevigata (Foggia) since 1983, the Tas-Silg sanctuary (Malta), as regards the prehistoric phases, since 2003 and the Bronze Age settlement of Oratino - la Rocca (Campobasso) since 2005.
